Catalysis researchers have met at the University of Messina about 250 students from high school interested in enrolling in Chemistry. During this event, the students participated in experiments related to electrochemistry for a sustainable production of energy. Concepts such as light harvesting, water photo-electrolysis and solar-to-chemical energy conversion were discussed through many examples and experimental demonstrations by using basic electrochemical cells and more complex photo-electrocatalytic devices. This event was an occasion for INSTM UniME, as an A-LEAF partner, to share the main scope and aims of A-LEAF Project for the realization of an artificial leaf.
