Chiara Genovese
Chiara Genovese received her PhD in Materials Engineering and Chemistry at the University of Messina in 2008 working on the development of Palladium membranes for Hydrogen separation.
She is currently a researcher in INSTM (The National Interuniversity Consortium of Materials Science and Technology Research) at the Unit of Messina in the framework of the H2020 FET Proactive 2016 Project A-LEAF, working on the development of a photo-electro-catalytic cell from earth-abundant materials for sustainable solar production of CO2-based chemicals and fuels.
In the last years she has been involved in several project, both national and international, in the field of nanomaterials for a sustainable production of energy.
Her recent interests are focused on the photo-electro-catalytic reduction of CO2 to liquid fuels, synthesis of urea from N2, water and CO2 in mild conditions and water photo-electrolysis.
She is co-author of about 40 publications in scientific journal and 55 contributions to international and national conferences with more than 640 citations (Scopus).
